Snowy Egret Overcomes Weakness And More

An adult snowy egret was admitted to the hospital in late February 2021. The egret was wet, cold, emaciated, and unable to stand. The patient was very lethargic and weak due to emaciation and low body temperature.

We gave the egret a varying dilution of EmerAid IC Piscivore, starting at a 75% dilution and ending with 100% EmerAid.The caloric intake and nutrients that the EmerAid offered helped the egret to perk up and regain some energy.

The patient began standing relatively quickly, switched to a fish smoothie blend, and then began eating minnows without assistance.

The egret was released upon regaining enough weight and showing significant improvement in mobility and overall mentation.
