A fecal analysis revealed that the patient had flukes and coccidia as well.

It received EmerAid IC Carnivore three times a day for the first nine days of treatment before being able to digest solid food. Its intake weight was 390 grams (about 13.8 ounces). The patient was released after a little over a month in care with a release weight of 525 grams (about 1.2 pounds).
