On October 21, the Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) received a Western grebe. The bird was found on a road in Auburn, Washington, with significant bruising and trauma from hitting the road.

PAWS was able to provide initial tube feedings of EmerAid IC Piscivore to help stabilize the bird while in care.

The bird was successfully released on November 3. Being able to stabilize this patient and provide initial calories was very helpful while the bird was being treated for its trauma.
