Rabbit Bounces Back After Broken Jaw And Head Injury

The following story about a rabbit was submitted by Red Creek Wildlife Center in Pennsylvania.

This adult female rabbit came to us after being hit by a vehicle on the road.

Suffering from a broken jaw and a head injury, she is on the EmerAid IC Herbivore diet.

She has improved SO much since she came in. You can see how much more alert she looks now as opposed to when she first came in.

As she continues to heal, we will introduce solid foods into her diet, but she’s loving her liquid diet for the time being.

She is being held in both photos during her feedings. The rest of the time, she is left in her enclosure to rest and recover.
