Simi was admitted to the clinic at Best Friends Animal Society because he would not eat and, if he did, he vomited the food right back up. His canary-yellow skin was a scary sight. Radiographs confirmed that Simi’s liver had a mass, which was probably bad news.
The doctors and owner agreed to insert a feeding tube and start Simi on medications that included prednisolone. It was not a cure, but a way to help Simi feel better. On October 21, 2018, a tube was inserted and Simi responded immediately! He did not vomit anymore, acted better, and was more like his old self. He did so well (his color went back to normal, his appetite returned) that the tube was pulled on November 11, 2018.
We know that this is just temporary, but the feeding tube and EmerAid Intensive Care HDN Feline gave Simi some seriously awesome quality of life. His owners are very grateful.
