Starving Flying Squirrel Found In House

flying squirrel with nutThe following story was shared with us by Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary in Wisconsin.

In December 2019, we had a flying squirrel admitted to our wildlife rehabilitation program. She was lethargic from a disturbed hibernation in a home.

Due to where she was trapped, she was without food for several days and was presented dangerously emaciated and could not walk. Once rehydrated, we started her on a regimen using EmerAid Intensive Care Omnivore for her to regain vital nutrients. She was able to regain her strength to handle physical therapy and learned to walk again.

She is recovering and doing well, in large part due to the public noticing her and bringing her to us, and to the EmerAid food for helping her get back on her paws.
