The following story about a red-tailed hawk was shared with us by Carolina Wildlife Center in South Carolina.

After nearly two months in rehab a beautiful red-tailed hawk in home for the holidays!

During the first week of November, a staff member was hiking on a trail and stumbled upon a hawk unable to fly. Thankfully, Chris knew exactly what to do and was able to capture the hawk and bring it to the Center.

Upon examination, we found that the hawk was extremely emaciated and suffering from a respiratory infection. After many weeks of tube-feeding with EmerAid IC Carnivore and several rounds of antibiotics, this stunning individual put on weight and was cleared of infection.

On Christmas Eve, he is finally home [after release to the wild].
