Possum With Facial Trauma Struggles To Eat

The following story about a possum was shared with us by Napa Wildlife Rescue of California.

This opossum suffered trauma to her face, we suspect from getting hit by a car.

Her nasal passages were all swollen and she lost a tooth, so she wasn’t interested in eating.

A slurry of EmerAid IC Carnivore with a little berry yogurt makes a mess but is palatable. This slurry is keeping her weight up until she wants to eat enough on her own.
