Orphaned Green Heron

The following story about a green heron was shared with us by Bird Center of Michigan in Michigan.

This young green heron was brought to the Bird Center of Michigan after being found orphaned and unable to move around. He is an unusual patient for our center.

On intake, he was severely dehydrated and underweight. He was stabilized and fed EmerAid IC Piscivore food until we were able to get him stable enough to eat solid foods.

Once he was fully stabilized, he was transferred to another facility that specializes in herons. He was raised there and then released to the wild.
