The following story about badgers was shared with us by The Wild Ones in Oregon.

I received three orphaned badger cubs in April 2025. The lactating mother had been intentionally shot by the landowner. The three young cubs were discovered several days later in a den in poor condition.

Malnourishment and dehydration were the greatest concerns. With carefully calculated re-introduction of fluids and calories through EmerAid Intensive Care Carnivore and replacement milk, the cubs gained strength. Even before being weaned they had developed that feisty badger attitude!

Several months later they possessed the skills necessary to go out on their own and were released on a 34,000-acre conservation area.
