Nile Monitor Suffers Broken Bones

The Nile monitor that we took in a few weeks ago is doing well! While it will be some time until the broken bones are healed, this monitor (fondly named Toby by one of our favorite volunteers) is gaining strength every day.

While Toby isn’t eating on his own (it would be rather painful to crunch through food with a broken jaw), we are carefully tube-feeding him with EmerAid IC Carnivore every second day.

He is gaining in weight and strength.
