Momma opossum had been hit by a car. She had a fractured jaw, multiple abrasions — and a pouch full of tiny babies!
For the first several days we could only gavage-feed her EmerAid IC Omnivore because of her injuries. She managed to fight through all of this while still raising her entire litter.
Momma and all her babies were released at a friend’s farm several months later.
