Many Young Brown Pelicans Require Aid

This year, our clinic admitted a large number of juvenile brown pelicans, all found along the South Carolina coast in poor condition. These young birds were severely underweight (some as low as 1.7 kgs, which is about 3.7 pounds). They all were struggling with heavy parasite loads and showing signs of exhaustion.

Their fragile state left them vulnerable and in desperate need of specialized care.

Our team turned to EmerAid IC Piscivore as the foundation of their recovery. This highly digestible diet provided the essential nutrients they needed to regain strength and start their healing process.

With the help of this life-saving product, the pelicans were able to stabilize and gradually transition back to a normal diet, supported by weeks of dedicated attention from our staff. Watching these young pelicans regain their energy and thrive was truly heartwarming.

Thanks to the powerful combination of EmerAid and expert care, they were eventually released back into the wild, ready to soar along the coast once more. Their story is a testament to the importance of advanced nutritional tools in wildlife rehabilitation.
