Lesser Bushbabies Raised Together

Two young lesser bushbabies (Galago moholi), one transferred from Onderstepoort and the other found on a patio at a residential property, were both unable to be reunited with their mothers (the best and first option always). Admitted three days apart and of similar weights, they have had each other for companionship.

They arrived weighing 20 grams and 16 grams (about 0.7 ounces and about 0.6 ounces). Since their arrival, they have both gained just over 30 grams (about 1 ounce) each in the last three weeks. They are currently being weaned off of their special milk formula, now preferring mealworms and EmerAid IC Omnivore.

They will still be with us for some time, but eventually they will progress to the next stage in their rehabilitation journey: a slow release process.
