Eastern Screech Owl Recovers From Fracture

The following story about an eastern screech owl was shared with us by the Avian Conservation Center in South Carolina.

When an eastern screech owl was found on the side of a rural road, it was clear she needed immediate help. Weak and unable to fly, she was brought to our clinic, where we discovered she had a fractured right coracoid and was severely emaciated.

Her condition was dire, but we were determined to give her the best chance at recovery.
