Canada Goose Is Sole Survivor

This adult Canada goose was brought into the Bird Center of Michigan after a rescuer saw a flock of geese struck by a car. The only survivor was quickly transported to our center stunned and unable to stand.

Center staff quickly triaged the patient. Once the Canada good was hydrated and pain meds were received, the goose was given EmerAid IC Omnivore food until he was able to regain the strength to eat on his own.

After a few days of supplemental feedings, the goose was able to fully self-feed and began to stand and walk around.

After two weeks in care, we were able to release him back into the wild!
