A Young American Crow Needs Nutrition

A fledgling crow was found on the concrete in Fort Collins. The rescuer was worried that the young bird had been attacked and brought it to Greenwood for treatment.

Upon examination, our staff found that the young critter was dehydrated, lethargic, and thin. We set up the patient in our specialty crow room and gave it kibble mash, special formula, including EmerAid, and fluids.

After just two days of treatment, the fledgling was much more energetic and had gained weight! We are pleased that its condition improved, and released it with other crows once it could survive on its own.
