This baby rock monitor (Varanus albigularis) was found on the side of the road, collapsed and dehydrated. She was slowly nurtured back to life.

Fluids as well as EmerAid IC Carnivore came to the rescue, and it wasn’t long before this little monitor developed a large appetite and was happy to eat on her own.

Given her progress and growing strength, she was released in a safe area where she can continue to thrive.

Rock monitors are under threat of becoming endangered if the illegal trade is not curbed.
