The following story was shared with us by Napa Wildlife Rescue<\/a> in California.<\/em><\/p>\n

A gray fox was found too weak to move by the side of the garage. At a shockingly low weight, we knew we needed to start him on pre-digested food.<\/p>\n

From EmerAid Intensive Care Carnivore<\/a>, he worked his way up to soft foods, and then onto full mice. Our game camera showed he liked to toss the mice around before eating. EmerAid IC Carnivore doesn’t look like normal fox food, so at first he seemed suspicious of it.<\/p>\n

His initial explorations in his enclosure were slow and wobbly, but he surprised us by enjoying hanging out on a perch designed for raptors! Gray foxes are excellent climbers; the only ones in the canid family who can climb.<\/p>\n

After a few months in care, he was back to full speed and released back at his home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
