With careful examination we diagnosed central blindness. In birds, this condition is often related to a head injury, most often from a vehicle impact.<\/p>\n<p>Central blindness means that the eyes can still \u201csee\u201d and the pupils respond to light, but the brain does not \u201csee\u201d the picture. This is often due to swelling post head trauma. At this time the owl could not yet see. We tube-fed with <a href=\"https:\/\/emeraid.com\/vet\/emeraid-carnivore\/\">EmerAid IC Carnivore<\/a> on a daily basis.<\/p>\n<p>Over the coming days, the owl\u2019s sight returned. He started eating on his own. A <a href=\"https:\/\/safring.birdmap.africa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SAFRING<\/a> was placed, and he was successfully released near where he was found.<\/p>\n<p>Owls, like most other animals, are territorial.
