One died immediately and the other two survived.<\/p>\n<p>They were found on the ground in Turlock, California, after their nest was knocked out of their tree. The finders were not able to put the babies back up in the tree.<\/p>\n<p>One of the finches weighed 5.8 grams (about 0.2 ounces) and the other was 6.6 grams (about 0.23 ounces) at intake. We feed finches a mixture of half baby bird diet and half <a href=\"https:\/\/emeraid.com\/vet\/emeraid-carnivore\/\">EmerAid Intensive Care Carnivore<\/a> diet from hatchling to self-feeding.<\/p>\n<p>The two finches were released in early August in Turlock weighing 17.7 grams (about about 0.62 ounces) and 18.3 grams (about 0.64 ounces) respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Note: This picture is not of the finches in the story but it is from this year.
